Charlie A’Court is a country boy raised on a record collection of classic R&B, soul, blues, rock and folk ranging from The Band and John Prine to Otis Redding and B.B. King. Charlie is well know for his emotional delivery and stage presence both in intimate acoustic settings and large festival stages. Whether he’s stripping the music down on an acoustic or soaring above the band on electric, A’Court’s music reaches people in a unique way.
With a voice that combines the best elements of Anne Wilson, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, and a staggeringly awesome band (featuring Blake Johnston on guitar and vocals, Peter Davison on Drums, and Shaky White on bass), Christine Campbell is a mesmerizing musical force. It is not at all surprising that her ever-expanding, loyal fanbase helped to cement The Christine Campbell Band as the special guests of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in Halifax and Saint John in Nov 2014.
